Mark making through motions. The work explores how customary, mechanically performed daily activities embedded itself in our memory and how these movements leave traces and patterns behind them. Looking at the work that women do from day to day and considered menial, and gives it beauty. Examining the act of dipping the mop into the waves, and moving slowly through the movements creates a stillness/mindfulness. TRACE merely seeks to preserve a momentary action in time and in space.
